Freeport Outdoors

Getting Outdoors

There are over 1,200 acres of open space in Freeport, owned privately, by non-profit organizations, by homeowners’ associations, and public entities such as the State and the Town. The spaces open to the public provide opportunities to hike, swim, bike, camp, skate, snowmobile, picnic, and boat through the provision of public water access points. This page provides a list and description of some of Freeport’s natural resources that are open to the public and we invite residents and guests to explore and enjoy these open spaces.

Biking

How about a road ride to Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park? Check out the 9 mile loop from Town to the Park and back, or one of the several other road loops in Freeport. Just check out this Map and Descriptions.
