Committee Charge

The Hunter Road Fields Advisory Committee was established in February 2012 by the Town Council. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Town Council for staggered three-year terms. The members shall include a Town Councilor, a Conservation Commission member, an RSU #5 representative and a member from each of the Town of Freeport’s 4 voting districts. The Committee shall annually elect a Chair and a Vice-Chair. 

The Hunter Road Fields Advisory Committee is charged with developing a purpose statement for the Hunter Road Fields and Trails that contains intended purposes including, but not limited, to accessibility by all residents, fulfills longstanding need for fields within community, provides opportunities for outdoor activities for people of all ages and abilities, groups and individuals, organized and informal activities. A full list of duties and responsibilities are described in Section 615 of the Town's Administrative Code (Town Ordinance Chapter 2).
