The Town has received quite a few questions about the pending lawsuit related to the Island Rover. The Town of Freeport normally does not comment on pending legal matters; however, in an effort to promote transparency, the Town has gathered key historical documents that illustrate the progression of events that have led the dispute concerning the ownership of the Island Rover vessel and the Town's interest in the property. These documents are all publicly available at the Registry of Deeds and within the court system but are compiled here for review.
