At a community meeting on June 17th, 2025, village design expert Jeff Speck was on hand to share his insights on how to untap Main Street’s potential as a thriving corridor. The Freeport Village Corridor Initiative brings years of community-driven planning to life — charting a path for growth and change along the Main Street corridor. The VCI will provide a roadmap to construct a corridor that supports walking, biking, transit, economic opportunity, and new housing.
