CMP has not provided estimated times for power restoration at this point. The most recent updates from CMP can be viewed under the "Outage Information" tab on their website at: www.cmpco.com

Life threatening emergencies should be reported by dialing 9 -1 -1

Freeport Public Works crews have been actively clearing debris from public roads throughout the day. As of 3PM, all road blockages due to downed trees have been cleared. Freeport Public Works crews will be on duty tomorrow (Friday, 10/18/19) re-checking  all public roads for any additional downed trees or limbs. If you are aware of any downed trees that are blocking public roads in Town, please report them by calling the Public Safety non-emergency number at 865-4800.

Some roads do remain partially blocked due to downed power lines. The clearing of downed lines is dependent upon the availability of CMP line crews. Town Emergency Management Officials have communicated the location of all downed lines within public roadways to County Emergency Management Officials, who are working directly with CMP crews to coordinate the clearing of downed lines County-wide.

Please use extreme caution around downed power lines and wires. You should assume that all downed lines are live, and potentially deadly to touch.

Downed power lines that are not blocking a roadway, and/or power outages should be reported to CMP at 1-800-696-1000.
