Climate Action Plan Draft Released for Public Comment

freeport's draft climate action plan

The Freeport Sustainability Advisory Board (FSAB) has been developing a Climate Action Plan. The Plan is meant to be a roadmap for the Town to shape a future that is healthy, safe, and resilient. The strategies and actions in this plan will help guide policy decisions in the years to come - and we want to ensure that those strategies reflect what is important to our community.

FSAB has been engaging the community in developing strategies and they are in the final stages of refining the Plan before it is presented to Town Council for consideration.

We invite you to share your comments on the Draft Plan!

You can view the materials online or in person. Go to Freeportclimateaction.org to see the draft Plan and submit feedback via an online poll.

Printed versions are available at Town Hall and the Freeport Community Library. Please note these are preliminary drafts and the Advisory Board continues to integrate feedback they have received. After considering more feedback, a refined version of the Plan will be presented to Town Council in the Spring.
