The Town Council has been presented with an opportunity to consider purchasing the vacant property at 22 Main Street (Tax Assessor Map 11, Lot 132). This property has a prominent location entering downtown, being located at the corner of Main Street and West Street - directly abutting the Freeport Town Hall. The Town recently completed work with the consultant, Principle Group, to create a vision plan for Downtown Freeport (https://www.freeportdowntown.me/) There were many ideas suggested in the Plan which may work here! There will be other ideas too!
