- Dogs six months and older are required to be licensed. It’s the law.
- Online dog registration is available from October 15th to January 31st of each year. You may register your dog on the State Website and the Clerk's will mail the dog tag to you, or;
- New dog licenses can also be obtained at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours. Proof of rabies vaccination is necessary to get a license. The cost at Town Hall is $6 (with proof of spay/neutering) and $11 (for non-spayed/neutered dogs).
All dog licenses expire December 31st of each year. You may renew your dog license anytime between October 15th and January 31st. You must renew your dog license no later than January 31st of each year, or a late fee ($25) will be charged per dog. The Town Clerk is not authorized to waive the late fee, as it is a State imposed fee.
