Winslow Park: The campground will begin to take reservations April 3rd, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

Please note that if booking for a Friday or Saturday there is a two night minimum stay. The maximum consecutive stay on any site is 14 nights.

WINSLOW PARK AND CAMPGROUND OFFERS:

DAY USE

  • A fee is charged during the summer months (Freeport Residents: $2.00 per person; Non-Residents: $3.00 per person).
  • There is no fee once the campground is closed.  The park is open every day of the year.  Day use hours are from 8 a.m. to 30 minutes after sunset for use of tidal beach, picnic area, trails, playground, and Thursday Night Concert Series

SEASONAL USE

  • The Park will set aside 30 sites for seasonal rental. These sites are available first to last season’s rentersand then to additional renters based on a lottery system. All applications for seasonal rentals must be received by March 1 of the camping season.Any seasonal sites not reserved by March 1st will then become available for rental under the regular rental rules for the season. Location of seasonal rental sites and assigned campers, as well as termination of seasonal rentals, shall be made at the discretion of the Manager of the Winslow Park Campground. These sites are in extremely high demand and can not be rented by simply calling the campground or managers office. Interested individuals must go through the lottery process.

DIRECTIONS

From the South:

Take I-295 North and get off at Exit 17 (Yarmouth/Freeport Exit).  At the exit ramp take Route One North. You will pass the Muddy Rudder Restaurant, Freeport Inn and Café on your right.   At the top of the hill after the Casco Bay Motel, take a right at the blinking light onto South Freeport Road (if you pass the Big Indian, you've gone too far).  Take a right onto Staples Point Road (there is a wooden sign for Winslow Park at the corner of South Freeport Road and Staples Point Road).  Stay on Staples Point Road all the way to the end and you will come into Winslow Park.

From the North:

Take I-295 South and get off at Exit 20 (formerly exit 19).  Take a left at the end of the exit ramp.  At the first traffic light after the overpass take a right onto Route One South.  Stay on Route One South until you come to South Freeport Road.  Take a left onto South Freeport Road (at the blinking light).  Take a right onto Staples Point Road (there is a wooden sign for Winslow Park at the corner of South Freeport Road and Staples Point Road).  Stay on Staples Point Road all the way to the end and you will come into Winslow Park.

DOGS AT THE PARK

 DOG POLICY SUMMARY

  • Dogs must be on leash at all times from May 1st – November 1st
  • Dogs must be leashed on the main rd. (Winslow Park Way) through the park and in all parking areas year round. Please use side roads and trails when letting your dog run off leash.
  • Dogs must always be under the owner’s voice control and within a reasonable distance of the owner (if you can’t see them or aren’t paying attention, you can’t pick up after them).
  • All dog waste must be picked up and deposited into one of the trash receptacles on premises or removed from the park. There are generally dog bags available at the gate and near the foot washing station, but please try to make sure you are always adequately equipped.
  • Owners must never allow their dog(s) to become a nuisance to other users of the park or their pets.
  • To avoid accidents and allow residents and service personnel passage to homes and park property, please take extra care when walking on the main road between the gate and the point.
  • Dogs are NEVER allowed on the beach or on the playground.
  • Dogs are not to be on any of the privately owned properties within the park gates. (all houses and driveways beyond the camping area on the right)
