Bus Traffic Direction
The Freeport Police Department is seeking part time personnel for Bus Traffic Direction. The job requires walking, an ability to work with the public, and working in all types of weather. Bus Traffic Direction is needed on school days for one hour starting at 2:30 pm. This is a great job for a Freeport resident who is a retiree or parent of a school aged child. Wage is $11.00 per hour.

Freeport Transfer Station - Fill-in Attendant
The Town of Freeport has an opening for a back up Transfer Station Attendant. This position would be available to fill in for vacations and sick days. Job involves assisting the public with their trash/recyclable material and sorting this material. Manual labor, frequent lifting and bending are all part of the job. No experience is necessary. Skid steer/forklift experience and computer experience a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Maine Drivers License. High School diploma or equivalent required.
This position is not benefit eligible. Pay is $12 per hour.
Ideal candidate will:
- Want to work in a fast paced, team environment
- Be able to work outdoors in all types of weather (20% inside/80% outside)
- Have interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
- Be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for an 8 hour shift
- Have a positive attitude
