Complete Streets Committee Site Walk

Per discussion at the Complete Streets Committee meeting, convene in the parking lot at the Freeport Medical Center this Thursday, May 6 at 7:30am.  The purpose of the gathering is to observe traffic at the Medical Center, Pownal Road, and I-295 ramps during a busy time of day.

As we prepare for the bridge discussion with MDOT, we want to ensure our response to the proposed bridge design aligns traffic flow needs with bike/ped safety needs.  The Complete Streets committee agreed this morning that an onsite viewing of the traffic in these areas will better inform our discussions with the MDOT.

Please park as far from the building entrance as possible to ensure we avoid disrupting the patients’ interactions with the Medical Center.
