Public Works is seeking applications for an Equipment Operator/Plow Driver.
Experience with the operation of snow removal and typical heavy construction
equipment required. Experience in snow plowing operations a must and having a
mechanical background a plus. A current Maine Driver's CDL License required.
Pay based on qualifications.
Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment physical, which includes an
alcohol and drug-screening test.

Library Circulation Clerk, part time
Freeport Community Library is currently accepting applications for a part-time Adult Circulation Clerk.

The successful candidate must have experience working with the public; exceptional customer service skills; the ability to work in an environment that can be energetic and lively; an outgoing personality; and computer and internet proficiency. The vacancy is a non-benefited 20 hour/week position. The starting rate for this position is $12.24/hour.

Public Works is seeking applications for a temporary, full-time Laborer to work with our crew from April 30-June 28, 2018. Experience with heavy equipment and construction work a plus. Current Maine Class A Driver's License required. Pay based on qualifications.

Transfer Station Attendant- backup position
The Town of Freeport has an opening for a back-up Transfer Station Attendant. Job involves assisting the public with their trash/recyclable material and sorting this material. Manual labor, frequent lifting and bending are all part of the job. No experience is necessary. Skid steer/forklift experience and computer experience a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Maine Drivers License. High School diploma or equivalent required.
This position is not benefit eligible. Pay is $12 per hour.
Ideal candidate will:
• Want to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Be able to work outdoors in all types of weather (20% inside/80% outside)
• Have interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for an 8 hour shift
• Have a positive attitude
