EMPLOYMENT

Full-time Children's Room Circulation Clerk.
The successful candidate must have experience working with the public, especially children; exceptional customer service skills; the ability to work in an environment that can be energetic and lively; an outgoing personality; and computer and internet proficiency. College degree or equivalent experience is desired.
The Children's Room Circulation Clerk performs a variety of circulation tasks related to the operation of the library under the supervision of the Youth Services Librarian and the Library Director. Typical duties include: staffing the circulation desk, managing publicity for Youth Services programming, shelving, pulling holds, providing Reader's Advisory, and assisting patrons locate library materials.

The vacancy is for a 30 hour/week position. The work schedule will include two evenings and Saturday hours as needed. This position does include benefits.

Transfer Station Attendant- backup position

The Town of Freeport has an opening for a back up Transfer Station Attendant. This position would be available to fill in for vacations and sick days. Job involves assisting the public with their trash/recyclable material and sorting this material. Manual labor, frequent lifting and bending are all part of the job. No experience is necessary. Skid steer/forklift experience and computer experience a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Maine Drivers License. High School diploma or equivalent required.
This position is not benefit eligible. Pay is $12 per hour.
Ideal candidate will:
• Want to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Be able to work outdoors in all types of weather (20% inside/80% outside)
• Have interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for an 8 hour shift
• Have a positive attitude
