This position is responsible for performing a variety of technical, administrative and supervisory duties, and serving as in: building inspector (MUBEC certified) plumbing inspector, shore land zoning officer and land use regulator.

Police Officer- full time
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have no criminal record or adverse driving record. Applicants must hold a valid Maine drivers license at the time of employment.
Full time candidates having an Associate’s Degree or a combination of relevant training and experience will have an advantage. Preference may be given to graduates of the MCJA Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. The minimum requirement for the position is the successful completion of all phases of the Maine Law Enforcement Pre-Service Training Program.
All applicants will be required to pass a physical agility test (MCJA Standards). An extensive background investigation, including psychological, polygraph, and medical examinations will be part of the process.

The Freeport Public Works Department has an opening for a full time Equipment Operator position.
Qualified candidates MUST have experience with the operation of dump trucks, backhoes, front end loaders and related motorized equipment. Experience in snow plowing operations and a mechanical background a plus. Maine Drivers License CDL class B endorsement is required. Class A is preferred. Per Diem EMS/Firefighting Worker
The Town of Freeport Fire-Rescue Department is now accepting applications for the position(s) of per-diem personnel. The position(s) will include EMS responsibilities, emergency and Non-emergency, as well as firefighting duties.
Per-Diem FF/EMT: Shifts are 12 or 24 hours, 7a to 7p and 7p to 7a shifts, 7 days a week on a 8 day rotation. Looking for people to template into the shifts. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Maine EMS license, FFI & II, SCBA & AVOC Certified. Schedule done a month in advance, with priority given to those that also participate with our call companies.. Paid weekly.
ALL Applicants are required to be at least 21 years of age, possess and maintain a valid, appropriate, Maine motor vehicle operator's license, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A Panel Interview, Background Investigation & Pre-Employment Physical will be conducted.
